Good talk, but perhaps a bit slow in pace.
He started with how not to do things and why and I completely related with his examples. He showed exactly how to fix this with an API. He also wanted against potential pitfalls when building APIs. Most importantly he explained how to effectively sell the idea of an API to your company.
Good talk, especially for 8am on the last day. Excited to go back and make everything API first going forward.
My apologies for the pace that I went through this talk. The examples and slides are now online. Again; the talk was supposed to be far slower and I certainly breezed through things far too quickly.
As others have mentioned, it went by much too fast. Too bad, because the stuff we saw was pretty interesting.
The talk was really useful. Live communication process is never documented, so it is hard to figure out such a thing yourself. This is how the talk was very different from other talks on the conference - technical descriptions for the tools are always can be found online, but the one discussed - not. So this discussion was much more valuable (for me, at least). And I liked the experience and useful hints from a person, who really came through the process.
One more great thing - the talk was inspiring. That's what I expect from the conferences in the first turn. So you come out with a feeling, that you can do it and it is interesting.
And, Ben, as follow-up to our talk - ArrayAccess object is not working as first parameter for your array_column(). It would be great if it is. And foresee the related question - I'm not ready to contribute it :)
Pretty useful, but not particularly ZF2 specific. More focus on applying the techniques within the framework would have made it even more interesting.
Great presentation, very engaging, and best of all, ZF2 specific. Great stuff.
Could definitely have been more concrete and code specific.
Evan is a great presenter and is able to structure information extremely well. I always enjoy watching him speak even if I know the material because I will get nuggets out of it.
