Jeremy is a pied piper, leading you with promises of a wonderful experience if you only yield to the awesomeness of guzzle - and I followed. The last couple slides where a command is executed with surrounding authentication is truly awesome to me. There were a lot of new ideas and new programming constructs but I was convinced I understood and could use the tools to advantage.
Very well organized presentation with 7 or 8 goals in sequence following a template of 'The Goal', 'The Why', 'The What to Do Steps' and finally the code to accomplish it. The goal, why and what are good practices to remember in any situation. Gary speaks well, is entertaining and interesting to listen to. I noticed his name on my recent jetbrains php annotated newsletter. It was an interesting read and I recommend it.
I feel helpful the list of methods to solve heavy of ZF2 processing and each specific description.
I appreciated the insights that were provided. As one of those pesky decision makers it was nice to see that we haven't been treating our staff unfairly. This will be a great topic for some of our internal educations sessions.
I heard that Cory lost a large component of his talk the night before. Unfortunate. Much too much Azure and not enough Apigility
Lots of food for thought, even though I'm not in devops.
Thorough and informative. Thanks!
I like the ideas and opportunity to practice them. Deliberate practice is an important concept for all to embrace.
I feel sorry if I was a native English user.
My ears could not hear most of the words in speech.
Funny guy. Bringing async to PHP 'cuz it's cool and because we can isn't a compelling argument though. Is async even useful in non-react apps? Why would you want to toggle between tasks if not to push out requests quicker? Can async and concurrent be used together? For example, can I have a coroutine that yields to a concurrent task?
