another great talk by the great ThijsFeryn! This guy is amazing and knows really what he's talking about. Liking the way he presented the code with extra highlights to the points that require extra attention.
Superb!
Great talk. I actually liked the partial chaos and how you managed it. That actually limbered the atmosphere.
Got a good overview on what you can get out of XHProf. I also liked the presentation style very much. Thanks!
Great job... as with all talks from you phpcc guys I've lost all confidence in my coding ability. I am really impressed that you pulled all those principles together, explained all of them, and did it all in an hour (and managed to keep my attention).
At the end of your presentation you named a few books & web resources. These are missing from the slides. Can you please add them? Thanks.
Great job, good introduction into Git. Haven't used rebase before, but I understand how it works now. Only thing I would have liked is more time on the teamwork aspect and maybe a more in-depth example of how a team might work using it.
Good introduction on performance. Lots of hints on what to look at and possible solutions
Nice introduction to best practice for deployment. It confirm that a lot of the things we are trying are correct and gave me new ideas on how to improve.
Good talk. I don't deal with search in my day job, but it's an issue in side projects I'm interested in. The talk was solid. It covered the complete A to Z of the topic, giving you a good foundation to work from and to continue learning more about. Seems like a technology that would be really fun to play with, and see if it will fit into projects that need search.
Andrei may have 99 problems, but search is definitely not one.
He shows a deep understanding of ElasticSearch and gave a thorough introduction to the subject.
My only recommendation would be to slow down a little to fully explain different concepts.
