A gentle and fun talk that illustrates very clearly how the little mistakes and oversights of "good practice" can build up.
The only negative is that much of the talk was on screen - so I felt as though I could have just downloaded teh slides and not gone to the talk.
A little slow to get started but when it got into full flow this was a very informative and usefull talk. Ilia delivers it in an easy manner and at a good pace that keeps the intrest. I definately brought ideas home from this one.
Excellent opening keynote. One that set the tone of the conference. Just makes you want to be better. I've had a lot of fun creating Tag Clouds from my source code. Will very likely buy the buy the book.
For a 15 minutes presentation, you had covered pretty much concerning ACL. The example made it interesting to follow. For a first time talk, you did it very well.
You can definitely combine APC and Memcache on the same install...
Nice one Jeroen, very clear AND interesting..
Great talk, straightforward and good tips on gettings started.
I'm sorry, but if you give your talk a title which at least hints at some technical content, well then don't try to cover the whole spectrum from people and project management to buying additional hardware in time in just 45 minutes. The result: not one solid technical slide or idea was touched. Disappointing.
Nice talk, but another 30 minutes or even more with more in-depth (technical) material plus some code examples would have been nice.
A good heads up and happy to see PEAR's ecosystem is alive and kicking.
A nice break from the norm, the talk was informative and included some simple code examples. A good starting point for getting to know Cairo.
The flow of the speaker's style itself was a little slow and jerky, but the content was very good.
