Nice talk, time always flies when Thijs is talking, never is boring and nice to see him interact with the audience
Interesting talk. Nice to hear how other companies handled these kind of problems
Although always a very interesting topic, most of the stuff was the same as at the PHPBenelux conference talk. My hopes were on a more hands-on tutorial. Finding a memory leak, KCacheGrind best practices, pittfalls with using foreach, etc. So for me it was a bit disappointing.
The tutorial could also could have been better prepared. Thijs did a very good job with that on his Varnish tutorial. Just put the stuff online and let the conference guys email the instructions to get it all up and running before attending the tutorial.
Pro: good topic, lots of information, good as an introduction
Cons: not a very good preparation, I expected more hands-on
iteresting how the inernals work
It was a pretty decent tutorial but not what I had hoped for. The first half was too basic for an advanced talk. The second half was a lot better though.
Tip for the speaker: Next time put up your example application for download before the conference and tell people the requirements.
Interesting and entertaining talk!
As promised sufficiently in-depth and easily the most entertaining talk so far. Nicely spaced & themed talk.
Fun talk, probably won't ever start with learning lisp. I like to be able to read the code I wrote 10 seconds ago :-)
Great talk, nice to hear how PHP internally works sometimes.
But saw a lot of C code fly by. Wasn't able to follow the code that quickly.
Awesome talk! Will definitely give the mikado method a try. Pascal has good presentation skills and humor and manages to make people enthusiastic about the topic. Also props for giving a live demo and not failing ;)
