Great keynote. The conference attendees as parasite-ridden sheep analogy was hilarious, and the points about learning strategies were very interesting. Joel's keynote was a perfect start to our collective dipping experience.

Some cool concepts discussed, very dense but well thought out.

Javascript = confusing

But overall it was well presented, especially with the confusing parts pointed out

I'm not too much into WordPress development, but Jason also talked about deployment, brushing quickly how to deploy WordPress with Capistrano. Very interesting thoughts/discussion ensued.

I'm no stranger to JS, but I picked up several handy tips in this talk, as well as a deeper understanding of scope vs context. A somewhat dense topic, but well presented. I also appreciated some of the references to how things differ between browser-hosted JS and Node.js.

A good overview, not for beginners - touched on lots of advanced topics.

Would have been really easy to get lost and lose interest in this topic without knowing at least a little about the vast number of advanced topics. Wow.

I guess it's going to take a lot of magic tricks to make working with WordPress better, so that is all forgivable.

This was an AWESOME talk. I love how the information was presented, how it was organized and the message. It really drives home the philosophies of enterprise application architecture. Really well done.

The only suggestion I'll make is to include a bit on dependency injection for configuring the services (even if it's just a mention), as it will make the final "mysql -> as400" transition just a configuration change.

Again, I don't think it detracted anything from the talk, and it really is a minor point that may just make a slight bit more of a connection...

Beginning was a little too "texty", but not sure how it could be better to express that much information. Code brought things together, and well explained examples. Overall a great presentation.

Lots of good tips on when to use git hooks and some good sample code

A really well presented talk. I liked how the examples seemed to imply one solution, but the actual cause was a little deeper. Really drove home the point of monitoring and problem solving. Really well done...
