As someone who has dabbled I found this talk really interesting. The hints and tips were aimed perfectly at someone of my level, knowing what equipment works best in the area I record in to the way to reduce background noise... It's something I can take away and use in my own shows.
Informative, passionate and whitty presentation that served as a great introduction to SVG and the flexibility they offer over raster graphics. Having only recently learned enough Inkscape to be dangerous, this talk has motivated me to learn more 🙂
Great talk and very easy to follow.
This endless fixation with whatever Microsoft are doing is just sad. Also, I would suggest that school teaching is not an issue, people have to realise the number of people who are interested in programming is pretty small. Indeed, forcing people to do stuff they aren't interested in just kills any chance they may take it up at some point.
There are a large number of topics which must be taught in school, and accentuating any one thing is to the detriment of others. Personally I hated English because I couldn't understand the analysis of literature sort of stuff. However, I would not suggest dropping it in favour of physics (which was my personal favourite).
Was really useful to learn how to contribute to openstreetmap
I couldn't read what was in the terminal and it wasn't at all clear how to simply implement this solution
Best talk of Oggcamp
Didn't understand it
Good stuff, however didn't explain how the conclusions were made between VP9 and AVC being of the same perceptual quality, before making assertions about file sizes. Of course VP9 will be smaller, but it needs quantified fairly.
Some beautiful artwork. Never knew you could turn Inkscape into laser beams 😁
