Talk of the day for me.
After having heard another Ross talk earlier this week, I was expecting much and got delivered even more!
I agree with the above comments; positive, witty, very informative with clear cases of the how, when and why. Just give us a bit more time to comprehend it all and to really laugh out loud.
I just wish all presentations were as good as this.
To bad there wasn't enough time to go over all 10 things. It was a great and insightful talk nevertheless. Learned a lot!
Although I have no interest in developing facebook apps, this was a great talk about what to do and not to do when going for it. Very well brought!
Having worked with ZF1 and Symfony2, yesterdays tutorial by Rob Allen was my first glimpse of ZF2. After attending Bart McLeod's talk, I've a decent understanding of how ZF2 works, and that migrating a ZF1 project to ZF2 isn't something to take lightly ;)
Very informative and beautifully presented introduction to Codeception.
I like these kind of presentations where the power and possibilities of the tool in question becomes clearer by the minute. And where the enthusiasm of the speaker makes you want to dive in immediately.
And I am with Gary, would have loved a longer tutorial about this!
Really cool video on the (tutorial) day before!
I enjoyed this tutorial a lot. Good and thorough introduction to REST and ZF2, although it could have gone a bit faster for my taste. This resulted in not being able to actually do anything. Nevertheless, Rob Allen seems like a very calm guy who really knows his stuff :)
Good and understandable introduction to Vagrant and Puppet. Had enough room for some experimentation, and nice to see peoples questions got answered.
A decent effort for a first talk; understandable and pretty knowledgeable speaker on the subject, and good presentation skills. Although I don't think I totally "get" what phpcr is all about.
It would have been clearer to see some practical examples;
Not only say when to use it, but show us how at the same time. A short intro into the API perhaps? If it's good for hierarchical structures, show us how and why.
It did sound like a helpful standard based on proven technology but now I don't really know why I should start using it.
Pretty nice and informative talk about the tool under development.
I will be checking it out.
