Had some good chats with various people attending PFC13.
Nice to hear something else than all that technical stuff all day :) It's was very clear that Jesse Burkunk is in the media business, because I was hyped as **** when the talk was done (not really my taste).
Very impressive and smooth talk! Clearly Ross Tuck has done this before :)
I also got a little ashamed that a while ago I needed an in-memory cache, looked at Redis and decided to go with Memcached. Not that it was a bad choice by itself, but knowing now what else Redis can do, I'm seriously considering switching!
Very interesting talk and topic. I really enjoyed such a simple yet good solution to a common problem. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this DataView project!
And snacks.
Clear talk about what Codeception is and does. Nice to see a real demo of some of the features. Although I've just started looking into BDD with Behat and phpspec, I'll have a look at Codeception as well!
Nice to hear about the efforts of a large media company coping with (mobile-)apps and new type of users, and trying to find new strategies in attempting to draw and also keep crowds.
Really nice talk and topic. I'm definitely going to look into this further!
Although it was clear that Willem-Jan Zijderveld didn't have much talk experience (I believe this was his first), he pulled it off just fine. I would have liked to see PHPCR in action, but there's only so much you can do in 10/15 minutes.
Played Cards Against Humanity for an hour or so, what an awesome game! Laughed the whole time. Unfortunately I had to go, otherwise I would've been at it all night :)
BTW, very good idea to play some "offline" games afterwards!
