It would of been great to see you move around the stage a bit and engage with the audience a bit more. Thanks Mo for a good insight into the pros and cons of code review.
You managed to provide sound use cases for docker - I could of spent a whole day learning about all of the other features and use cases for docker.
Thanks Andreas for putting the effort into providing the services box which provided the docker+ubuntu repositories so we didn't have to rely on the wifi.
I think there was a very good message in this talk, but it didn't need as in depth a description of UML. Modelling, and a general emphasis on design first development, is something that is often lost in the 'agile' software development lifecycle. These are all still valuable tools for a developers toolbox.
As others have said, this talk was slightly let down by the short section on phpdbg. That aside though, I was very interesting the new developments to xdebug, and it's definitely given me some new things to try out.
This was a really fun talk, Jez has a genuine and funny style that's a pleasure to watch. The talk content was very informative and left me with no questions, just a desire to improve the Kanban approach on my current project.
I enjoy Rob's delivery, very relaxed and engaging. Definitely a good overview of what Apigility can do, inspired to investigate more into it's own API.
Good opening keynote, well judged tone. Certainly a topic to stick in the mind for the rest of the weekend.
The lego was great, as was the premise of the talk. The detailed guide to UML didn't seem relevant, particularly as Harrie went on to say how he cut it down for day to day use. The talk would be much improved by cutting the UML tutorial in favour of real world examples of where Harrie used the cut down diagrams to solve problems.
Thoroughly enjoyed this talk. While the concept isn't new, it was great to see it explained / shown to a room full of people how simple and useful it can be, while keeping the entire talk light-hearted and amusing.
While I can't fault the content of the talk, I would have liked to have heard more on the infrastructure possibilities and potential pitfalls (one of which was brought up in Q&A toward the end) of using using this pattern, though that may well be better suited for a different event.
Also, I'm not sure Joindin was mentioned enough in the talk.
Thanks Derick, a super introduction to MongoDB!
