Amazing talk with loads of info. Very cool stuff.

Interesting, but perhaps not as much php content as I'd hoped
Far too much depth on the "Base Concepts" and not enough on real use cases. Academically interesting, but not practically useful.
Very clear & practical presentation on a useful tool.
Amusing and excellent speaker, as always. Shame the demo didn't work out!

I really enjoyed this talk. David gave good insight into the data processing problem some large players such as facebook, and yahoo face. He then went on to show how HADOOP can help overcome these problems and ended by doing a very brave live demo of a PHP toolkit he has developed to make it easier to do PHP map reduce with HADOOP.
Nice intro, good to have the starting talk be about user experience as it can be forgotten but what would any application be without it's users? Could have had a bit more energy though doubt I'd have done as well with jetlag
