Good talk. Slides and talking points were simple and to the point. Good to hear about the failures as well as the successes.
Would have much preferred the talk to be about the topic of data mining and data science and and not simply an app demo. Sorry :(
woo Ciaran!
Yeah, was really looking forward to this one but there was a dissapointing lack of interesting content. Felt like it was just a push for enterprise.
Excellent talk with a real engineering bits in it. Tones of stuff to learn delivered perfectly as always. A lot of confidence, loved real live examples. Now need to think about how to put it in practice at work!
Excellent, as always loads of good examples from the battlefield and stuff to take back. Definitely learned a lot and will do my best to put them in practice. Good slidedeck, not drawing too much attention off the speaker and the best Q&A session I have had so far.
An excellent topic, learnt a lot of stuff. I could say June was very nervous and that's why it's 3 stars. A lot of things being repeated all over again and I am fairly sure with a little bit more practice and rehearsals it will be an excellent talk. It was great to see a completely non technical talk and please submit it to other conferences as it will be a real success. Try to make smooths transitions between slides and try not to look at them so much - presenter view will help at the start. I really likes the start when you tried to engage the audience and keep them focused - really good stuff.
Did not see the whole talk as I have left after a while and went to unconf track. Mostly because whatever Davey was saying I knew already and during that time I found nothing new. Saying that still a good talk for those who did not look at PHP 5.4 so far with a lot of examples and explanations.
It was useful to see how PHP evolved over the years. Rasmus helped me realised why PHP is where it is right now and where it is going. Saying that, now I can also agree that we need more PHP devs working on PHP language as I can see hard C influences in the way PHP is being used. Nice, confident style - don't think I would change anything in it - not entirely sure whether it is a good topic for a keynote, but definitely a good talk.
