PHP UK Conference 2012

It was great to see a talk of how HTML 5 is being used in production and especially so with mobile. It was good to hear about the issues you've discovered and how you've gone about dealing with these. I learnt a lot and it's all been food for thought.

For a guy I heard talking at lunch that you still get nervous doing these talks it didn't show. What did show and that I knew already is that you know your PHP inside and out and I definitely knew more about 5.4s offerings with a greater understanding at the end of the talk. I'll be checking out the blog posts later.

I enjoyed the talk. Definitely took away some better practises to adopt when writing future code.

A missed the humour at the beginning - as a few others did on twitter - and for the first few minutes thought "is this for real??". Then the penny dropped and I got the joke. A thoroughly entertaining and relaxed end to the conference for me (I had to catch a train).

One of the best talks of the conference in my view. Engaging and accessible with some mind blowing statistics.

Great talk. Good to see what's on the horizon with PHP 5.4 along with some potential gotchas. Totally agree with your thoughts on getting to the core of what the code is trying to do. It's great to hear your opinions and philosophy on writing code. Would love to hear more of this.
