Not your standard talk and for that reason it was very good. Ian is a great speaker.

Long list of technologies, what they are used for and when to use them. Presenter was excellent - very relaxed and answered questions well.

Pretty interesting as at Etsy they have a different take on CI so the problem and solution to grabbing big git repos was novel. Answered questions very well.

Possibly a very interesting topic but difficult to grasp what exactly it was. I would preferred to have seen the finished product first with an explanation of what problem it solved, then the audience would have a greater appetite for how it worked and how the speaker got there.

Interesting history of PHP but the PHP in 2012 was more about "PHP 5.4 features" rather than "what the future holds for PHP in 2012". Relaxed and chatty presentation style went down very well.

I really enjoyed the talk and to be able to have contributed to the project at the same time was great. I had been using phing and found out a few things like using it to package joomla components into zip files.
