Talk comments

I attended this talk expecting to agree with most of the points, and perhaps pick up a couple of arguments I could use to encourage the adoption of TDD at work; for it to be interesting, but not noteworthy.

It was far from noteworthy; this was the best talk I attended on Friday (I didn't attend the conference on Saturday). Marcello's approach of knocking-down the most common arguments against practising TDD was inspirational, and the fact that he did it in such a humourous and engaging way made the talk a joy to listen to. Great stuff!

The talk covered a lot of information in a short time, so it was a little fast. It was all interesting stuff though, and I picked-up a few good tips.

I found the Q&A more informative than the talk itself, given that I'd already read about most of the new features described. It was good to hear about the plans for integration of an opcode cache though; that was news to me. All-in-all an interesting talk.

I agree with Knut Eirik Leira Hjelle, this was a whistle-stop tour of some modern JS frameworks, not a talk about advanced JS techniques. Disappointing.

A very humourous and thought-provoking talk that has, for a while at least, inspired me to think more about good design.

The socials were very good. I was not too fond of the venue for the 2nd social and this became very cramped after a while due to the amount of people that came and the limited size. I liked the pub on the 3rd night. Not far from the venue and was a good environment to stand and chat to speakers and other attendees.

Excellent venue, Good size for the amount of attendees that were present. The only pitfall was on track 3 with the requirement to use 2 rooms. It might be worth looking at an alternative room.

The food at the venue was very good however unless you sprinted out of the talk you were met with neverending queues.

Excellent wifi service. Never had an ounce of problems. Always avaiable when needed and the speeds seemed good.
