very good opening keynote. Lots of humor but I felt like I saw the material a couple of times before in other keynotes. Than again the topic is really interesting and it was a fresh take on it. I enjoyed it.
The ideas of the software presented in the presentation was interesting, but like the other comments mentioned ill prepared. Technical issues, and not knowing what would happen with some real time examples didn't sell the products very well.
But overal interesting talk.
some good real world examples on lambdas and closures. Interesting piece of code based on these showing a dependency injection container. The talk invites you to start playing with the features at home.
However I must agree with Amazium on the Symfony part.
But overal a very good presentation!
Interesting overview of the PHP universe. Nice presentation style.
Interesting talk, but due to the MS content a tough crowd. It was good to know what Azure is all about and how you can put WordPress on top of it. The presentation style was OK (humor mixed in, loved the Dilbert transformation;)), but in the end I won't be using it though.
Very good presentation. Interesting stuff, which I will (have to) look into depth a bit more at home. I'm not a symfony guy, so he lost me in the last part a bit when he started juggling with Symfony yaml and xml files.
David's presentation style is very enjoyable. Humor & skill mixed wonderfully. I've worked quite a bit with soap, but still I learnt a few new tricks. In the Questions section there wasn't room for questions, which was the only minus for me.
Surprised by just how much content Ivo managed to fit into this presentation without rushing through it. The overview of the various services, how they fit together and the various pros and cons of them. Enjoyed the mix of high-level summaries and business considerations with the inclusion of code examples on how to use a few of the services (font could have been a bit bigger though).
A few places where I wasn't convinced that the applications mentioned were necessarily "cloud" apps, but then maybe that's indicative of the first part of the presentation explaining how we're at the top of the hype curve at the moment.
It was a very interesting talk with some good pointers. The agile part wasn't always how we do it or what we use it for, but for the rest it was a great talk.
A bit disappointed that David had negative things to say about technologies he isn't using but great speaker and for the stuff he is using, it was world-class
