The presentation and introduction to Zend 2 was generally very good and I think both Rob and Evan managed to keep things interesting throughout the day. I do however feel that the exercises could have been managed better.

It would have been more worthwhile spending time on going through the prepared examples and the tasks that were given, instead of rushing through to the next segment immediately after presenting the solution.

I’m very happy with this tutorial. A practical overview that in practical terms shows typical misconceptions and areas of big improvement in our own work flow. An some good looking tools to simplify workflow when necessary adjustments are done.

Too much of Information to grasp and code snippets were upto mark.

But got a good insight of Datastructure and more informative on the lines of how Datastructures could solve a problem...

In typical fashion Ian filled the room and left the audience with tons to ponder. This session was rammed with useful advice on processing real time data, and demonstrated some interesting architectures for applying / managing synchronisation. Being tasked to loosen up a very ridged data flow on a current project meant I found this talk very valuable.

However, I do feel some aspects were compromised to fit the time slot. I would have liked:
An elaboration on the problem with less haste moving into solutions.
Some background on the technologies used (Zookeeper / ZMQ / Redis) in the solutions (knowledge was sometimes assumed).
An occasional pause to allow absorption (specifically when screen sliding code). I think a fair part of the audience got dazzled on this one, hence the "no questions".

+1 for a double-length slot.

I found this tutorial to be extremely useful, not just in that I have a better understanding of the tools I use already, but the additional tools like XHProf which are going to prove invaluable in a project we've been having trouble with.

As with all of Lorna's talks I have been to, it was presented well, sides/handout were easy to follow and she didn't move too fast so everyone managed to keep up.

The only downside is for the venue rather than Lorna, the room was small and after our laptops had been on a while a bit on the warm side. Also the wifi wasn't great, but luckily Lorna thought ahead and stored a little backup plan on the VM so everyone could keep going. a great idea which resulted in a brilliant tutorial day.

Thanks again Lorna :)

The speaker seemed very experienced and comfortable on stage. A lot of detail in a short time. The talk was a firehose of data in itself. Many very interesting technologys mentioned. I learned a lot. Thanks.

I learned a lot from this talk, thanks.

Interesting, well delivered, funny. Given straight, without arrogance or claiming to be something it's not.
One of my favourite talks of the conference.

Great talk, I thoroughly enjoyed this, well presented. This will definitely influence my code reviews in the future and I will be putting more detail into my reviews. Some great tools covered as well which I will be looking into. Very useful!
