Talk comments

Great talk with lots of great references to movie, music, ...

Slides could be better, but the content presented was great.
Clear info about i18n and l10n, very interesting.

Great vibe during the talk, lots of positive energy.
Looks like working for FUN, really pays off

Great talk, good pace and great content.
Never knew there was an alternative for SVG in ie < 9

Nice intro into cryptography, from the very basics to some more advanced stuff.
Good pace and clear presentation

The Rick-Roll was kind of weird really. A nice "I would like to start" would have been better IMHO. Ah well.

It was very nice to see someone that excited like you about SASS, I liked the little jokes you made during your talk and the interaction with the audience was good as well. Tricking us into remembering some stupid numbers was a nice and neat trick to keep our attention, kudos for that. I will most definitely take a look into using SASS or LESS.

You've mentioned some nice things to think about, really good! Like others already mentioned, just a little too hard to follow, but that's probably because of your first time speaking. Work a bit on that and you'll be fine!

I didn't noticed this was your very first talk, up until you said the following: "I would really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really really, really, like your feedback on joind.in so I can improve myself", in different high and low pitch voices.

I found your talk nice and clear, hope to see more of your talks in the future.

I found it nice to see someone focus on the search skills of the developer, since this is our first and biggest resource. The live searches where a nice addition to your presentation.

Some tips for optimization:
- Maybe split the talk into two separate ones: one for the starting user of google, one for the more advanced user? I feel like you have a lot of knowledge on this subject, and that you are trying to fit it all into one single talk, which made it a big chunk to digest at once.

- Timebox your presentation: --dry-run your presentation a couple of times, see how long it takes and tweak on it. This means having to leave out some stuff you might think is really awesome, but saves some time for other awesome stuff. You can always end the presentation by saying: speak to me if you want some more tips and tricks, or, check my blog for a full list of awesome things you can do with google.

I hope to see more of your talks in the future!

I've attended other talks from Lorna, e.g.: the workshop at DPC12. I've very much enjoyed that workshop just like I enjoyed this talk. Well explained and easy to understand. Keep up the good work Lorna!
