I was kind of lost during talk because I was (as someone not using SPL at all) expected introduction and not advanced stuff. However talk was good and I'll make sure to browse all libs and stuff Elizabeth mentioned during her talk.
One suggestion would be more interactivity.
And another... more clear examples... maybe something step by step.
I appreciated all the info.
Great talk, good content and a fantastic speaker. He didn't fill the time slot but that's probably for the better. He really drives the point home with a sledgehammer and very scary numbers.
Easily one of the best talks I attended. Great examples and great style of presentation. I really enjoyed the focus on actual working code. Just don't forget to blank out your secret keys next time :-)
Great talk and well presented. Kudos on handing out energy boosters to kill the lunch dip. Two minor quibbles: Less focus of the differences between formal notation styles would free up more time for the practical php-peg examples. Also, the speaker should try to talk a little slower. Some parts felt like he was quite nervous/excited which made him hard to understand sometimes. Still 5/5 from me!
Great topic for a talk but execution was pretty poor IMHO. Reusing the same code sample for different types of coupling and cohesion was confusing. Also, the speaker could use more practice engaging his audience. The delivery was pretty dry, like he was reading off his notes instead of actually talking to the audience.
It was a nice talk, the sum up about configuration was too long. This talk was to short to introduce ZF2.
Great talk, great examples and great speaker. I learned a lot here.
Interesting talk, but I think they focused too much on the wrong examples. I would have preferred if they spend less time on the usage of the twitter/fb API's and more time on e.g. AOP. They showed pretty well on how to identify code with mixed concerns but not on guidelines on *how* to separate things if you find such code in your own projects.
Good stuff... A lot of theory (which most of us know from school) but otherwise ok.
No interactivity. It was a tutorial after all.
