Quite an interesting view in some of the aspects of maintaining an open source project. A good mix between jokes and serious content, and some lessons to take away.
The keynote was inspiring, fun and with lots of hilarious moments. Jordi is both a talented developer and a great speaker. Thanks for your presentation man! I've rated 4 instead of 5 just because I expected the pace to be a bit more energical. Otherwise, the content was excellent!
To clarify upfront: I did not read the session abstract (yes, you can blame me for that), I just read the session title on the schedule and thought that this could be an interesting session.
From the title of the session I was hoping for a more general, non-technical overview of how Drupal could help a startup to deliver their solution. For me the coding part did not really work out. I mean it was interesting to see how easy it is to consume data. But being a non-Drupal person a few parts where hard to follow because I did not see where things are going or why. Nonetheless the presentation was good, both speakers know their stuff pretty well. So at least the session was entertaining ;)
Good closing keynote. Interesting to hear about the insights (and the daily problems) of an open source maintainer. Will try to keep that in mind when bothering the speaker next time about problems with Composer or my PRs that take a while to get into master :P
Thanks Jordi!
Great talk! Really enjoyed it to hear about your personal experience contributing to PHP core. Very well presented and it showed me cleared that the speaker is able to present "no-so-technical" talks very well ;)
a good introduction for people with little previous knowledge, or to fill gaps in the basics. good idea having two speakers taking turns at talking.
next time: advanced concepts?
good explanation of the authentication step of symfony. the sso is more the narrative than the actual subject of the talk
Great story (although parts of it were really sad). Thanks for sharing "your" personal story with us and trying to give us hints on how we can improve.
Good content, very well structured. Explained the "reasoning" behind PSR-7 very well.
Vincenzo had a nice all around introduction about AngularJs and Ionic.
Explanations were clear and precise. He had also integrated his presentation with snippets both in AngularJs and Ionic.
Take a look at it http://wilk.github.io/AngularJS-Ionic-Amsterdam/#/
Hope to see him next time talking about those subjects more in depth.
