Talk comments

Not knowing anything about this topic but in name only it seemed to be a decent overview. Has certainly given me enough information to know when I might be able to use it, when that's applicable etc. Good presentation style.

Great introduction to a project I did not even know existed.

Great overview on writing extensions. Since the subject is so complex a mit more high level might have been even more helpful.

Lots of great information on testing. I finally understand how to write code that accesses a database so it is testable.

Excellent presence, delivery, and content. Would have liked to have seen a bit more about Slim, but then again, I was already sold on Backbone ;)

While I've seen talks about MongoDB and PHP before, this one gave me a good idea of how Mongo has progressed and what you can do to address indexing, performance, fault tolerance, etc...

This was one of those talks that started giving me ideas for my next side projects... enjoyed it a lot!

Fantastic talk! I'm always a sucker for "here's an example of some horror you've seen, now let's clean it up!" Excellent reminder about the temptation to just throw everything out and rebuild...

At the beginning of the talk, Jeff said something to the effect that most of the concepts were applicable regardless of which cloud hosting service you use. My experience has been quite the contrary, but that could just be part of the problem with the way companies throw around the word "cloud."

That said, Jeff did a thorough job of recording screencasts ahead of time instead of trying to do a live demo. He then narrated what was going on and just took it at his own pace.
