Good stuff - nice to get to hear some info on the components in symfony v2.0 as well.
Good talk and great to get some insight into another dev team and their working (and drinking) practises.
We've had similar experience using Symfony to deliver "content-managed" sites to clients so I understand where this was coming from. I dont think the presentation lived up to the title - which was by far the most intriguing in the conference, perhaps just a good old fashioned conclusion at the end of the benefits of model driven content managements would have helped?
Free beer!

Although I was sold on the idea behind Yii the talk centred around Steve copying and pasting code into the project and giving a brief explanation about what is was doing. I got a bit lost in several places and didn't really know what was going on. However, I was impressed by the abilities of Yii and will be giving it a more serious look in the future.
Good fun and well presented - I think the points at the end about security and code review were as important as the ones covered.
Also sandwiches should be made fresh on the day, not 3 days in advance as shown in the burndown chart. Whilst I would attend and recommend another of Lorna's presentation to friends - I would not be so positive about any events she is catering. ;)
A useful presntation from a knowledgable developer - the techniques described werent just drupal specific and varnish is now on my radar. I'm not giving it a 5 like everyone else but thats just so I can rate other talks higher.
Interesting and intelligent presentation - thought provoking too.
This talk was excellent. I think the content (particularly ArrayObject and the CSV examples) will be something I can use in projects straight away.
Thanks!
Michael had a good presenting style and provided a neat twist at the start. His hands on coding approach went down well with the audience and didn't go wrong to often. :)
I will definitely be looking at JQuery in more depth in the future.
