I found this incredibly fascinating. While already packed with so much information, it left me craving for more. Anthony is fun to watch and very entertaining, which I found impressive with such a seemingly dry subject.
Good talk. Another comparison with existing solutions could have been system level filesystem integration for linux server, like s3fs with the fuse system.
Great talk, and very well delivered!
I enjoyed it.
Matthias has a great way of teaching principles of software design. I'd definitely recommend this talk if you are wanting to find out the best way to write your own event system or better utilize a third-party event system.
I thought it was a great talk and think that it would be a great introduction to someone who was interested in task based UIs, have been considering whether CQRS was worth it, or have been looking for good reasons to pitch CQRS on their next project.
As people already said - the topic was very interesting, but it's really not too well suited for a talk. Maybe a bit more high-level version would be a better fit, with explanations on different possible use cases while only tangentially touching the code. The concept is very intriguing, though!
I'd cut back on the part on data normalization -- you've spent quite an amount of time on that which would probably be better spent on a bit more extensive advice on the migrations themselves. The presentation itself was quite solid - I'd love to hear this talk a bit more focused on the main subject.
Nice and clear talk. We have some small fixes we need to do, coming from this presentation. Thanks!
The single best things about this presentation for me was the emphasis that was put on PHP as a language rather than a single implementation. The little jokes here and there were perfectly timed and very enjoyable. The angle, form a historical point of view, was very suitable for the topic.
