Great talk, i loved the mentioning of his sons and the sponsors but i feel the talk was let down by the pace and the feeling behind the talk as it seemed a bit mono and uninspired at times
I wish I could put some useful feedback to help the speaker improve their talk but I honestly can't. The talk was highly relevant, well paced and delivered with confidence and humour to a large audience. There was a single slide where coloured text on a black background couldn't be read (the lighting in that track seems to make the slides wash out their contrast for all speakers) but apart from that, I can't suggest any improvements.
As Mark Baker put it, you're an inspiration. At times your speech was emotional, but then again I feel sad for leaving this crowd. You strengthened my belief in open source further, thank you for that.
I got an urge to do more documentation on my own projects as well as for the projects at my work. The output of phpDocumentor seems to look really nice and pleasure to read.
I agree on the screen, white background with gray notations didn't really work that well.
I always liked twig but never really "got" it fully, your presentation cleared up some issues I had with it.
It was a good talk, but in the end it went into more technical stuff when I would have wanted to hear more about providers and anotation features for the routes.
Great talk, enjoyed your stage personas and made me think more about open source and the advantages of it. Will turn some of my personal projects into open source in near future.
Great presentation of PHP 5.4, certainly got excited about the server which should not be used in production.
Rob and Evan, I really enjoyed your tutorial and it was fun to get little exercises going. I felt like there was little new for me since I already got familiar with zf2 earlier, but you managed to educate me on service and event managers and how they function.
Felt privileged to see inside the infrastructure of such a massive operation, especially given the frankness and honesty with which John appraised legacy and future difficulties involved. Dealt confidently with interruptions ("is that a bomb?") and kept the content entertaining and lively, and bot just through the use of cat videos.
