Talk comments

Very heavy emphasis on "empathy". When the topic wandered past various "diversity" items and then into a PSA for mental health, I felt the talk got away from team-driven development and more towards some kind of special interests.

Great explanation of IoC. It's a difficult topic that needs to be made easier to understand, and this talk helped.

People always ask me, "what is your company culture like?" Maybe now with Poornima's ideas I could actually explain it better.

Great talk, a lot of good ideas in a short amount of time. Would like to have seen the second half expanded and the first half reduced.

Good talk, I really enjoyed it. I just wish I could remember it all... maybe a DX one-pager cheat sheet would be helpful?

Good talk, especially for beginners new to the topic. I would have appreciated more discussion of common issues with large projects such as how to determine what events to fire, how granular to make them, and strategies for untangling event dependencies after they have already happened. The slides were a little full, especially for code samples. Having them easily online beforehand would have let people in the back follow along with tablets or laptops.

Interesting topic, never heard of the 12-factor before. I always enjoy a good demo during talks. Shows bravery! But in this one I think that people who are not familiar with heroku might not be able to follow what's going on during the demo.

The typical strong Cal voice, to the emotional stories and the talking about community this became an amazing keynote. I can't give any critical feedback because it was all spot on. Thanks, every developer should see this! :)
