Slides (beside being a bit distracting) and clarity of speech made this presentation stand out. I would only object Rowan for his, somewhat colorless tone of voice, which didn't help me stay focused.
I can understand the other comments here, but I think it was a very useful presentation. Altough it was a bit hard to follow sometimes because of the accent.
This talk was one of few that made this conference worth coming to. If only the other speakers could adopt some of the presentation skills from Aral (or Evans). 7 thumbs up.
Good presentation about the inner workings of DocBlox. Next time I generate code documentation I will give DocBlox a try.
Good and clear presentation. The code examples did a good job in showing the usage and benefits of ZeroMQ.
I'll agree with derick. Raymond obviously has lots of in-depth knowledge about MySQL, but I guess it would be more beneficial to his audiences if he could focus more on sharing this knowledge, instead of "breaking the fingers" every two minutes.
Lorna had a very witty and refreshing talk. She kept the public focused throughout the day (while some other speakers where able to put the public to sleep in under 45 minutes). Presentation style: 4 (and that's only because I believe 5 stars are reserved for Aral Balkan or Cal Evans presentation levels).
On the other side, I found the content too basic. Perhaps that's what's most important about the exam, - the basics, but nonetheless I was expecting to learn something new, something that I couldn't find in exam preparation books and materials. Content: 3
Nice! I specially liked the hands-on approach.
Loved it! It's a pity there was no time to hear more about those techniques neither for the Q&A.
The presentation was clear and understandable. I expected a bit more information about actually managing the external dependencies.
