This was truely an amazing tutorial where i learned a lot about security best practises and new security flaws that i knew nothing about. We also got some time to see some real world security flaws in major websites. That was amzing Anthony!
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Sounds like I need to trim out some content for a 45 minute slot - the talk was 43 minutes long!
Eamon managed to get rid of the hangover quite quickly. I was afraid he would fall asleep the first minute or so. But that's just a trick he pulled, because the rest of the talk was awesome.
I know Eamon, I know his story and yet it managed to inspire me so much. I'm not usually so corny, but damn, what happened there? Magic ...
Thanks Eamon, you convinced me to do stuff I also wanted to do, but never had the guts to do.
Interesting concepts, kick-ass speaker, but I expected a bit more.
It was a bit disappointing that the only message was "use SOA". But that was the only disappointment, because Travis did tell a compelling story that I will definitely remember.
Good talk! He certainly convinced his audience the importance of workers.
I was a bit disappointed that Gearman was removed from this talk. Was hoping to learn more about the different tools out there.
I would love to see a v2 version of this talk that includes comparisons of differnet products, tools & technologies that facilitate the worker process.
Nevertheless a great presentation by a knowledgeable speaker.
Minds were blown. Definitely a 5-star talk.
But in a v2 of this talk, I would like to see more parallels with PHP. More practical examples would help too.
What I remembered from this talk is that LISP can do a lot for you with a limited set of language constructs. It also seems to be great for map/reduce and processing complex data in general.
Good job, but looking forward to a v2 with some minor improvements.
Excellent speaker. Just flows naturally!
Not only a visible in depth knowledge on the subject but also exhibits an experience as a speaker. (the slides and talk!)
Half way it seemed Varnish got the upperhand, but maybe that was just me (seeing as i went to the workshop the day before)
Always a great pleasure listening in on your talks!
The talk was really interesting. Liked the fact it felt really hands-on even though you were running a bit late.
One point of critique: try to keep your own pace, even if you're running a bit late.
As being one of the major theme's across the various topics this fit right in! Would have liked to see a 'complete' picture as well from Thys' Varnish and Nginx talks into this one. Also got me excited to see the new opensource work you guys are working on!
Great stuff!
Save the best for last... check! Great keynote!
