Talk comments

Have always used feedback from team members but never really went outside that circle. So shall do so now.

Also, it made me think about my own skills more and to note those weaker areas to strengthen. On the way up to the conference I started to have a go at code katas. Definitely worth doing for anyone wanting to improve their modelling skills.

Anyways, my brain is ticking on finding other fun ways to share the knowledge I've learnt here back at work.

Thanks for the talk.

Great talk. I always enjoy community talks but it's a testament to Michaelangelo's ability to inspire that I heard so many people after the talk muttering about getting involved and setting up community groups.
Way to share the love!

An interesting presentation about something that I haven't had the opportunity to look into yet. It would have been nice to see some benchmarks comparing it to apache with fastCGI though, as well as using some more process heavy pages to run the benchmarks on.
Other than that though it was good, excellent slides.

Michael did an excellent job of presenting his interesting talk, especially as he unexpectedly had to step into the first slot of day and battle against the noise of drilling.
It was clearly presented, though I'm not sure that I'll be using this approach any time soon.

Aside from the fact that Kat was late after I'd made a special effort to get out of bed earlier to see her talk, I think she did a great job. It was interesting and clearly presented, and the practical demonstrations were really good.

It's great that the food and bar are all on site as no one gets lost or put off by having to move locations so it creates a great social atmosphere.
The free bar always goes down well too!

I mainly attended this as good bit of banter is an excellent way to round of a conference and I wasn't disappointed.
I'll agree that the microphones could have been better placed, and it would have been nice to see a couple of other frameworks represented too.

A good talk, giving a number of different options to look at while unfortunately confirming that there is no one easy solution.

This was an interesting talk and there's a lot of things that I need to look into further. I was slightly put off by John's tendency to fiddle with his fleece zip where his microphone was (causing distracting noises) and he also spoke pretty fast, but other than that it was good.

I'll admit I mainly went to this talk out of curiosity as I wanted to see Marco talk, but it was actually a pretty interesting case study to hear about. Not too sure exactly what lessons I've taken away from it, but it's always good to hear about other people's experiences.
