Best topic of the event, Volker was fun too.
In a hurry, but still such a good speaker.
Good talk and news coming from the core of development.
The question about unit tests and Di *container* configuration was misplaced, as the guy who asked it later admitted: the container is a tool to configure an entire tree of dependencies, so it's not to be used while unit testing. DI is a concept which the DI*C* depends upon.
Really interesting to see what problems Micheal is facing in his job, and very impressive with how's dealing with them. He seems to have things very much under control. Presentation was good, but it was pretty clear he was a bit nervous. That will probably go away as he gives more presentations on the subject (which he should, because it's very interesting).
The passion Jeremy has for his projects became clear after watching his talk on Pyri. Enjoyed seeing the website in action. The few times i've used Pear in the past, i've encountered pretty much every issue Jeremy proposed as reasons for setting up Pyri, and so the content was engaging.
The talk itself was good though a little lacking in depth about the real changes that come from the Version 2.
Amusing as it was, the repetitive nature of the bad mouthing of the Propel project (no matter how bad Joe thought it was) reduced the enjoyment of the talk as it felt that was more a case of "look at how better we are" rather than showing how it's better.
Slides worked really well with the talk and the flow felt good. but the general feel I left the talk was not why or how I should use Doctrine 2.
Good talk. Short, sweet and to the point. Too bad Twilio isn't available in Dutch so I can't use it, but that's not the Michael's fault :)
This stands out as one of the best keynotes I've seen, especially at a more technical conference. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Joe Lee: you are on!!!
Loved the social. Shame alot of people left to go other places. Would love for someone else to deal with all the wii's next year (hint) - i might even just relax a little bit ( hehe)
Met a lot of nice people, couldn't hear half of what they were saying. Music was just way too loud. I'll rate it 3 only because the people were nice ;)
