Great workshop! It didn't bother me there wasn't more hands-on work during the presentation because that probably wouldn't have worked anyway in just 4 hours. I learned a lot of new stuff and the example project helped a lot to explain how things are done in ZF2. I'm sure I will look back at my notes, the slide deck and the example application a lot once I get to play around with ZF2. Thank you very much, this was a very useful session for me!
A very inspirational, well structured and well presented keynote! 4 thumbs instead of 5 though because I've seen it once before, so I would have enjoyed a brand new presentation probably better.
A very clear and obviously well-prepared presentation on Phing. The absence of the live-demo because of the technical issues didn't bother me at all and the slides coming after that still explained very well how Phing can be used. I think the webistrano-question someone asked could have been answered better (Webistrano is a front-end for capistrano: a deployment tool. Phing is a build tool and by it's very nature meant for different purposes), but overall it was a very clear and well presented introduction!
I liked the talk and learned how traits work and can be used. Even if it is a hard topic for the speaker to explain, as could be noticed within the code examples.
The benchmarks between 5.3 and 5.4 were amazing, but not a good comparison as 5.4 has build-in APC.
it was a good talk, although the topic has been already widely discussed in recent years. I had expected some more new things about the pattern, things that havent been discussed already yet
Very interesting content, and it was clear that Jordi is very passionate about Redis and an expert on the subject. There is room for improvement when it comes to presentation techniques; maybe rehearsing a bit more might result in more confidence and a more fluent presentation. However, the content made up for it big time and I'm definitely going to play around with Redis!
This presentation was not an in depth technical tutorial on how to perform security audits, although some very good advice was given how you should perform such an audit. The talk was brought at a more general level. Not that that is bad, but as said by others, show us a demonstration of the mentioned tools, instead of screenshots. Overall, it was a very good talk!
You can see that Derick is an experienced speaker, although MangoDB is an interesting topic, the presentation could be made much more interesting, by using real scenarios.
Rowan is a natural born speaker with the ability to present anything in a very engaging, clear and entertaining way. Interesting talk with some good points about estimations. I liked every bit of it - and the slides were simply amazing. Job well done!
Great presentation! I really enjoyed the live demo and David's contagious enthusiasm!
