This talk had all the things a good keynote should have in my opinion: Humour, inspiration and great content. Thank you for an awesome presentation that set my mood for the rest of the day.
Can just +1 Eli on this one.
Very useful. In fact, had just gone over a lot of this on my own the week before, so it was fresh in my mind.
Came for the song but actually picked up a few things as well. This talk had the things that make me enjoy them the most: Entertainment, a passionate speaker and great content. You nailed it :)
Great talk with just what you would expect, very helpful and clear presented in a pedagogic and good way. It surely shows that Davey knows what he is talking about.
Good topic, lots of good information. A little confusing with the redundant redundant recursive iterator iterators. :) A lot to grok. Glad to have slides.
I can only repeat the three previous comments. I didn't even see the slides from the back and still enjoyed the talk. Well done :)
Damn, this is the class I needed/wanted to attend. Unfortunately I was sick. Sigh.
Will enjoy the slides, thanks for posting.
I think the keynote should be more inspiring and a kickstart of the day, it felt like the topic was maybe not the most keynote worthy topic for a PHP community conference.
That said, for the topic it was the presentation was spot on, so I'm giving the talk itself four stars, deducting one for not being a good keynote for this specific conference in my humble opinion.
Would have loved a little more information on 'why' we need this. With all the complicated setup involved, it's hard to justify this when you have one production server and can pass around ready-made VM's to developers.
