Talk comments

Amazing idea for a talk. Great slides, very professional. As Rowan mentioned, if Marcel would mention it was his first public talk, he expectations would be different. You could tell he was very nervous and the language barrier was a problem. With a bit more practice it will go much better in the future. The only thing I would advice is if you don;t feel comfortable about the content, it'd be better to stay behind the machine and make use of presenter notes to make the talk more fluent. Apart from that, great job and keep talking!

I really liked the idea of the talk. A definitive opportunity for me to learn about it and know that I don't like them! The very low rating is for the fact that I found the talk chaotic and I had a feeling Nick wasn't prepared well enough. But with a bit more practice this will be a great talk.

The talk demonstrated really good what hadoop is good for, how it works in basics and how scalable it is. Enjoyed the way it was presented, and inspired me to look into this a little bit further.

Great talk from a man with passion. You could see that in the way talk was done. The only thing I would advise for the future would be to cut of the basics and come straight into plugins and all the hidden/not obvious features of vim. Awesome idea with the keyboard keys shown at the top so everybody could see what Matthew was doing.

Finally someone told me what the heck is going on with hooks! It always felt a bit "off"...

Great talk. But as M. De Krijger mentioned already: there's more in this one. Give them a bigger timeslot, 'cause it's time well spent!

Rowan did a splendid job as usual. Nothing new I have learned but it was a please watching him on stage. It's always so much fun. And slides... oh I am jealous! I have no idea how he find the content for his slides and where does he find the inspiration!

I can only agree with Harrie before me. Not a lot hands-on, but that didn't bother me at all.

The tutorial gave an excellent introduction to the new version of the framework. Now it's time to play a bit more with zf2!

Great idea! A brilliant opportunity to socialize, meet new people and make new friend. And obviously it wouldn't be the same without Kinect and German-Lithuanian competition!

Your presentation skills do need some practice, but in time practice makes perfect. The subject and the content of the talk were perfect. This subject should be covered more on PHP conferences as it is an totally underestimated issue. Would like to see a more in depth sequal sometime (maybe phpbnl13?).
